About

This garden was first installed at Bay Area Unitarian Universalist Church (BAUUC) as a part of the congregation’s Neighborhood Project.  The Neighborhood Project connects the congregation to the local community and is a demonstration of the church’s mission “to change lives and heal the world“.

Some of the goals for the garden include….

  • providing land and resources for families to grow their own produce.
  • building relationships between the congregation and the local neighborhoods.
  • encouraging a spirit of community between people from varied backgrounds, cultures and languages as they work alongside one another in the garden.

The project was designed, funded and constructed by volunteers. The garden has been thriving since February 2012.

NEWS: We have many plots available to rent this growing season for a very reasonable fee. Please see the Resources page for Garden FAQ’s, Garden Plot Application, and Maps of our Garden Plot Owners.
